Ashwell Arrivals

Yesterday I recieved my wonderful parcel from the US with all my bits and pieces that I have been awaiting like a big kid! I have been wanting to extend the categories on my website and add some of Rachel Ashwell's wonderful designs and have finally been able to do so with a little help from my dear friend & personal shopper Kathy. Thankyou Kathy! I could not help but keep some items for myself as they are just so beautiful and Kathy even made me a gorgeous watch from the Rosalie fabric. She is so clever and the most wonderful lady. I would like to say a very special thankyou to Kathy! xo

Finally back into it.

Well, as I said in my last post...my new mosaics were not too far away and here they are! I could not bring myself to paint the vintage hand mirror white as it is so beautiful just as it is...I think the old brass look works in well with the colouring on the vintage china. This piece would look so lovely resting on a shabby dresser or even in a boudoir!

As for the little wall shelf...I just love it! It is so practical as you can store all your little pretties on the shelves plus you have the two little draws on the bottom for your bits and pieces you would like out of site. Pretty and practical at the same time! You could display just about anything on the shelves just as I have displayed some sweet little tea cakes from My Pink Boutique that look so YUMMY!

I used an English china rose plate in the center with accenting shabby green china and then wonderful dusty pink mirror tiles to the outside creating a border.

Hello everyone and welcome to Vintage Mosaic Boutique's Blog!

My name is Siobhan and I am the person behind Vintage Mosaic Boutique. I am a SAHM with a beautiful boy who keeps me very, very busy being a real typical boy! But i am not complaining, I would never change a single bit of him! My son, hubby and I live in Melbourne, Australia and just love it here. We are very lucky to be close to our family and friends and are very grateful for that.

In my spare time I love to create mosaics inspired by yesterday's old world charm using pretty vintage china featuring lovely florals and especially pink roses! I create a large range of items from birdbaths, tables, lazy susans, bird houses, photo frames, jewellery boxes, coat racks, Christmas decorations and the list goes on.

It has been awhile since I have been able to get into my mosaics as I have been run off my feet with family commitments and so on but I am so happy to say last night I cut up some china and placed together two new pieces for VMB! Its about time!!! The last time I was able to find time to mosaic was November last year...way too long for me! I used the sweetest antique hand mirror that now has some beautiful pink rose china on it and a little wall hanging cupboard with pink roses, shabby green tiles and special dusty pink mirror! So look out for these new pieces listed on VMB in the next week or so!
