Smelling More Roses

Its raining here in Melbourne but that didn't stop me from my outing to Poyntons Nursery today where they ordered me in some more David Austin Roses....this time it was the very beautiful Brother Cadfael Rose. She's so pretty and the smell....ooh la la!!!
These blooms are so big and really do remind me of the beautiful peony rose...how can you go wrong with this?
I bought two bushes to put under my front lounge window...what a lovely smell we will have up the garden path
Last week Janet from Shabby Fufu done a lovely post on the chairs around her home and asked us all to bare our favourite chair so finally I am getting to it!!! This is my favourite chair around the house which is actually my computer chair but it made its way next to the telephone stand the other day when Jake was chatting away to a friend. I found it earlier this year at an antique center and snapped it up straight away. It works perfectly with my french desk.
And here is another favourite chair which I like to sit back in while adoring my roses but it looks like someone has beat me to it??? I don't think I have a chance at getting little miss Rosie off there either!
I hope everyone is having a lovely week!

Hi Siobhan, Love your new Brother Cadfael Rose, how do you know the rose is a girl??....just curious.
Your chairs are fabulous, if you ever get a chance to site on them, that Rosy sure does think she's a human

Hi Siobhan, what a beautiful rose..you are right, it does look so much like the peony roses. That is a very inviting chair you have there, surrounded by my favorite summer annual here (geraniums) but I doubt Rosie will give it up. LOL

Hi Siobhan,
What a beautiful shade of pink those roses are, what a lovely bouquet those will make. I think Miss Rosie looks quite content on her chair.

Hugs,
LeAnn ;)

Hi Sioban,
I love your favorite chair. Now I know where you're sitting while you're uploading all those lovely photos and writing - that's neat! And that sweet little Rosie, she's got a real winner too, I do think the planter goes quite nicely too. Oh yes, I noticed the tassels in the picture above too - very pretty.
The roses, David Austin roses are so, so pretty and I love how full the ones you've shown are. I am coming to visit you, o.k. and smell all those lovely roses and play with Rocky, Rosie and Jake. I don't think Zeke will be able to sit next to me on the plane though...
Do the roses do well in the heat? Our backyard gets so hot here.
Talk to you soon (busy week!).
