Boys and their toys!!!

Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping warm with this cold Melbourne weather we are having at the moment. Over the school holidays Hubby and I decided it was time for an upgraded quad bike for Mr Jake as his knees were knocking on the handlebars! Anyway, I think he fits this one much better now!

I remember when my dad bought Jake his first bike I totally freaked out thinking how dangerous bikes can be but when you think about it, everything can be dangerous and if your child learns to respect the bike and drive safely they can have so much fun out in the open. My Dad is building a holiday house at the moment and it is situated on 20acres, I can just imagine Jake getting out on his bike and enjoying all the natural surroundings. Now Cane wants to buy a bigger bike for himself so they can go off together, not a bad idea really and its nice for the two of them to spend quality time together as father and son. My two boys have just gone off to the hobby shop to check out more remove control cars...like they don't have enough of them already??? Cars, helicopters, planes, boats...gee...when does it end? I'm not to sure which one of them is the bigger kid here? lol.

P.S. I have some photos to take of the new mosaic I have been working on but the sun is just so dull at the moment. I hope to share some pics this week.

Look forward to seeing your latest mosaic work Siobhan.

There is obvioulsy a healthy dose of testosterone in your household. Ours is the opposite with too much girly stuff. My hubby is over run with perfume, bras and giggling girls...LOL

Siobhan - FUN FUN I think!! I remember when Todd has his bike, I used to sneak on and have a ride when he wasn't around - goodness I fell off a few times too - all part of it.

You are going to love living in your new home, how exciting!!

Hi Siobhan,
I know the feeling, between the trucks, motor bike, go-cart and such I'm over run with boys toys. I do agree with you that it is important that the boys have to learn respect for them, I'm hoping that it will make them all better drivers when they are older.
Cheers Linda

Having two boys I can completely relate!!! My littlest is a girl - so I do have some balance... but let me tell you - she can handle her brothers and play right along with them :-)

Hello Siobhan, thanks for your visit hon. I shall enter you in my giveaway lol. Not sure who in your family will wear them though. Clippies and quads don't really suit do they lol? Our Liam has a quad bike too, and is a fantastic little driver now because of it. They can be seriously dangerous and my mum being a nurse and seeing all of the quad injuries still cringes when he is on it. But boys will be boys. So great that the boys are hanging out together, that is just so important isn't it, for both of them? Much love, Ali ox

Hi Siobhan,
How nice of Cane to offer to get you a pink one. I would say no as well to the idea! Looks like Jake is having some fun though and so happy to see he's wearing a good helmet - you're a very good Mum! Happy weekend sweetie, off to get ready for GW ;)
